Cash office information

What are the opening hours of the cash office?

FSSC Central Cash Office (Former UB, Rapenburg 70, Mezzanine 1st floor):
The Cash Office is open on working days from 9.00 to 16.00 hrs.

How do I apply for cash for employees who are not (yet) salaried?

To apply for cash, you need the Request form advance cash payment. Once the form has been fully completed and signed by the budget holder (original signatures), you can pick up the cash from the FSSC Service Point.

To settle the advance cash payment you need the Settlement advance payment form.
For cash payments that must be paid directly (accountability of the amount paid included) use the Cash desk form.

Amounts in excess of € 1,000 must be applied for at least 5 working days in advance by e-mail at fssc-liquidemidde@bb.leidenuniv.nl. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from FSSC. When collecting cash, you must always bring along:

  • the original application form with the original signatures.
  • a valid ID

Mobile payment terminal (payment by credit card)

The FSSC now has a mobile payment terminal available. The terminal accepts credit cards (Master, Visa, Diner, UP and JCB) and payment with iDeal.
The organisational units of the university can reserve the mobile payment terminal for such purposes as conference administration or other situations which require immediate payments. For more information, please contact K.h.van.Klaveren@bb.leidenuniv.nl or liquidemidde@bb.leidenuniv.nl

Applying for VVV coupons

To apply for VVV coupons, you should use the Application Form for VVV Coupons.
For each application, specify the reasons for the application, the number of coupons, and the total amount per person. In case of an advance, you are required to specify a payment deadline on the form.

Send the form, fully completed and signed by the budget holder (original signature), to liquidemidde@bb.leidenuniv.nl. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from FSSC. When collecting your VVV coupons, please remember to always bring along:

  • the original application form with the original signatures.
  • a valid ID.

The recipient of the VVV coupons is responsible for distributing them to the relevant persons (or test subjects).

Note that every VVV coupon issued to a staff member is considered by the Tax Office to be a bonus. We therefore advise you to issue VVV coupons as sparingly as possible.

Hand in your form in timely fashion.
The FSSC only has a limited number of coupons in stock. If the FSSC stock is insufficient, additional coupons have to be ordered from the VVV Office (duration: 10 working days).

Test subjects
You are required to submit a list of the names of the test subjects to whom you issue VVV coupons, together with the amount. If this is list is not yet available, the amount is recorded as an advance, and you are required to submit a justification within 4 weeks.

Guest speakers and other parties
You are required to submit a list of the names of the persons to whom you issue VVV coupons (including the amount). If relevant, specify the contact details or the name of this person’s employer.
